Message from the CEO
As President and CEO of this wonderful agency since September 2009, I am humbled and honored to be a part of an organization that plays such an important role in the life of the community. I know that I walk amidst many highly committed professionals at this agency, and I feel privileged to be here.
My family was a recipient of Hospice care from this agency in 1999 so I truly have first-hand knowledge of the contribution that our agency makes to the lives of families who have a loved one approaching the end of life. I am not alone in my experience – we receive letters daily that are testimony to the quality of service we provide, and the quality of life that we offer through both hospice and adult day services. Throughout the many touching stories we receive, the message is always one of gratitude and wonder for the gift that our agency provided them.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff, volunteers and board members for their selfless service to those who need the care and support that they receive from our hands and hearts. I entered this position in a very difficult year for our agency, and for the nation overall. Amidst the many challenges, we rolled up our sleeves, created new strategies, and went to work. In keeping with our mission, I am dedicated to making sure that everyone in Napa County becomes fully aware of the great services that our agency provides — and knows how to access these services when they need and want them. I am so thankful for all of our incredible supporters – volunteers, donors, and funders – your contributions are vital to our efforts. Together, we create the opportunity for a higher quality of life for the people our programs serve, and that is the best thanks there is.
